Routes Regional Americas 2008 was the first Routes event held in this continent. With the participation of more than 40 airlines and 70 airports, this regional forum helped the aviation industry be more efficient by matching supply and demand. How was this done? Airports did market research and sorted out the most viable markets towards their destination. These valuable pieces of information were in turn presented to the network planning director of an airline so he/she can further analyze the market and probably add a service towards that destination. Efforts like this make the whole industry more profitable and reinforce the valuable relationship between airports and airlines.
